The Moulin Rouge
The oldest cabaret in Paris and the birthplace of the can-can dance, the Moulin Rouge is a Paris must-see. This famous show house located in the building with the red windmill and immortalized in film and music has welcomed some of the most famous performers in the world. Today you can still see the show in the same extravagant turn of the century belle-epoque style auditorium that has welcomed guests from around the world for almost a century. The 60 Doriss girls, wearing flamboyant costumes made of rhinestones, sequins and feathers are renowned for their flexibility and dancing. They are joined by 80 musicians and chorus singers to give you an unforgettable show.
While Paris has many cabarets, only the Moulin Rouge allows you to see this amazing form of entertainment presented in much the same way that it has been since its origin in the late 19th century.
