The National Museum of the Middle Ages presents one of the world's finest collections of Middle Age art. Sculptures, paintings and priceless jewelry are on display, as well as the famous 15th century tapestry La Dame et la Licorne (The Lady and the Unicorn). The museum is located in a 14th century mansion that originally was the residence of the Abbots of Cluny and is one of the oldest residential buildings in Paris. The structure was built on top of the remains of a Roman bath house which dates from the 2nd century. The ruins of the baths are located adjacent to the museum collections and they can be seen as part of the museum visit.
