Sunset / Sunside

Founded in 1983 as Sunset, the basement club was the first of many Jazz clubs on the rue des Lombards. The intimate club featured stars of the French scene, visiting international musicians, as well as up and coming talents. As a result of its program and the quality of its acoustics, Sunset quickly became one of the most popular jazz clubs in Paris. In 2001 the upstairs bar was transformed into Sunside, which would concentrate on acoustic jazz, while downstairs, Sunset would showcase electric jazz and world music. Today the club proposes two concerts nightly, seven days a week.
