A true Paris institution and one of the most famous bars in the world, Harry's Bar was established in 1911. Renowned as the place where the Bloody Mary was invented, this venue sports traditional Old World styling and a downstairs piano bar. University and prep school penants cover the walls upstairs where a diverse and original selection of excellent cocktails are served. A small lunch menu also offers a selection of sandwiches (très cher). Downstairs in the piano bar live music is featured several nights a week. The clientele is a diverse sampling of businessmen, tourists and expats. Harry's Bar has counted numerous celebrities among its regulars, including Ernest Hemingway who featured it in the classic novel, "The Sun Also Rises".
