Cafe Charbon

One of the oldest establishments along the rue Oberkampf, Cafe Charbon is a quiet cafe by day and a lively bar by night. Spacious and unpretentious, with its high ceilings, huge mirrors and turn of the century decor, it's a good place to spend a quiet afternoon or to start an evening on the rue Oberkampf. The menu offers a good deal more than the standard brasserie selection of salads steak-frites and chicken, as tapas, fish, hamburger and a good selection of deserts are also on offer.
